Melania Trump’s Bullying Speech At The UN Is Getting Her Roasted On Twitter

In a luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 20,  at the United Nations general assembly, the nation’s first woman  gave a speech regarding  the welfare of children that is garnering considerable backlash. Melania Trump’s U.N. speech  condemning bullying has stirred an onslaught of folks calling hypocrisy on social networking. The tweets about Trump’s U.N. address  certainly   do not hold back.

The address, of which were published early parts, was seen a chance to confirm and explain her own campaign against youth bullying. The campaign was announced in November of 2016, but has been all but stagnant since its beginning, drawing criticism and raised eyebrows from  many corners. People have accused the Trump family of hypocrisy given that the president’s own album shows a upsetting tendency of esophageal remarks both online and off.

Mrs. Trump endured scorching criticism as her condemnation of prison came only hours after her husband, at an inflammatory U.N. address, spoke disrespectfully of multiple world leaders, even calling North Korea’s leader a name.

Apart from his comments about as well as girls (that are too numerous to list here), the president has mocked colleagues, individuals with disabilities, and support members. Twitter tirades that are regular render a laundry list of all names in their wake, including, oh, world leaders highly respected directors, members of their party mainstream news outlets and reporters, and typically anyone who adores him.

So when his wife addressed the spouses of overseas leaders  at the U.N. on Wednesday, people were all over   the irony in her words. In regards to influencing children, she explained,

As adults we are not merely responsible, we are accountable.   I trust you’ll join me in recommitting ourselves to instructing the next generation to direct and honor the gold rule, do unto others as you’d have do unto you.   That is paramount in today’s   society, and also my  focus as first lady.   It reminds our generation’s   ethical imperative to take responsibility for what our children learn.

Trump called on overseas leaders to function as role models, stressing “kindness, mindfulness, ethics and leadership. ”

It didn’t take long to start.

This sampling provides a feeling of what social networking users believed about her address.

When the first lady invoked the gold rule, it had been met with a digital mixture of applause and laughter (mainly laughter). While some praised Trump for bringing attention many more people laughed off the fact that she’d preach equal treatment when her husband has an established pattern of treating others poorly.

Others centered on the fact that FLOTUS’ timing was unfortunate given that her husband, only a day ago, threatened North Korea’s leader.

Users also made jokes aplenty, comparing Trump’s address  to the fiery announcement made by Bill Cosby’s wife Camille after his mistrial, the insinuation being that neither of these awakened to the improper actions and behaviours of their husbands.

Some folks apparently even believed the first lady’s address was so off base that it had been made in jest.

One user compared Trump’s address to the actor famous for embodying outrageous, caricatural fictional characters.

Some additionally predicted on Trump to give her words of wisdom to her husband — though it seemed people were serious about that.

More than anything, people latched on to how Trump made no mention or acknowledgment of her husband’s personal activities.

The  photograph of John Kelly appearing to pay  his face during   President Trump’s speech at the U.N. that went viral became the butt of more jokes.

Some tweets suggested   that the first lady’s remarks were  “tone deaf,” an understandably opinion given the comments made only a day prior.

A former senior advisor to President Barack Obama even weighed in.

The dilemma of childhood wellbeing, safety, and bullying, in particular, is a noble cause to be fair. ABC reports that Trump said she’ll be reaching out to other leaders from the forthcoming months for guidance to transfer her anti-bullying campaign forward.
