Swedish technology startup Einride has built a full-scale prototype of its own T-Pod, the electrical sovereign transportation vehicle it expects will finally replace smaller heavy-duty trucks, featuring remote control performance and a 200 kWh energy capacity with a maximum selection of approximately 124 miles.

The Einride T-Pod is exceptional in its design, as you can see, but its designed from the bottom up for remote human performance and driverless functioning, meaning you dont need the traditional crew cabin, and can instead build a vehicle tailor-made entirely for transporting products effectively. The T-Pod will be placed into service first in a course between Gothenburg and Helsingborg from 2020 in Sweden, together with 200 T-Pods traveling the route, which will be outfitted with charging stations.

The general T-Pod network will have the ability to move up to 2,000,000 pallets of products per year, which Einride says will possess roughly the CO2 emissions equivalent of 400,000 passenger automobiles traveling the identical distance. Einride also says it may expand the course even farther earlier than intended, given the strength of client demand.

All these T-Pods are an intriguing alternative to sovereign and conversion of semi trucks. The remote control mechanism is also interesting, and Einride says it includes human flexibility and determination together with the vehicles autonomous capabilities, with one motorist able to control numerous T-Pods at the same time.
