(CNN)Several gunmen were reported killed after they attacked the Iraqi Embassy in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, on Monday morning.
Three gunmen entered the embassy’s grounds and started shooting.
Danish said Afghan special forces were called in to engage the attackers, killing all of them following a battle lasting more than four hours.
Iraqi diplomats were taken to a secure location, Danish said, and none of them were hurt. The only injury was a member of Afghan’s police force.

In May, a burst in Kabul’s diplomatic quarter killed at least 150 people,
tearing through rush-hour traffic and injuring countless people, including children. Two months after, in July, at least 31 people were left dead
following a car bombing claimed by the Taliban.
